Recruiter reports to the Assistant Director of Recruiting and is responsible for recruiting participants for all current enrolling studies at Pennington Biomedical. Recruiter is responsible for phone screening potential participants and scheduling qualified participants, in accordance with protocol specifics. The position is responsible for providing the highest level of participant services in an efficient and effective approach. Job Responsibilities: Screening potential participants for clinical trial participation-identify appropriate subjects and meet enrollment goals. Must be able to clearly communicate study specific details and procedures subjects will be required to undergo in research studies. Must be on-call to conduct phone interviews with potential research subjects to determine eligibility. Review, enter and edit correct participant information in the clinical research database. Be familiar with inclusion and exclusion criteria for each protocol and purpose of the protocols. Review current medications and pertinent medical history to determine eligibility. Assess participant's interest and willingness to commit to a clinical trial. Able to handle a high volume of calls and emails per day. Attend bi-weekly recruiting meetings and recruitment start up meetings when required. Other duties as assigned by the Director and Assistant Director of Recruiting.
Qualifications:
Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree Medical background or familiarity with medical terminology preferred. Excellent people skills, comfortable speaking on the telephone Ability to learn clinical trials database software Proficient in MS Office applications Ability to perform several skills concurrently, time management and organizational skills
